Born in Seattle, WA into an Army family, I grew up traveling all over. My family eventually settled (on my 10th move) in South Carolina where I finished high school (Newberry High) and attended college (Wofford College). After graduation, I moved to Washington, DC to work on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Michael grew up in Phoenix, AZ then headed to colder weather on the East coast for undergrad at Boston College. Following undergrad, Michael spent a year living, working and mastering Spanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before starting law school at Georgetown in Washington, DC. While attending Georgetown, Michael also worked in the legal department of the McCain campaign.

As you can guess, we met on the campaign, fell madly in love, and got engaged just after Michael moved to San Francisco to start working for Jones Day. A quick 5 months later we were married in April 2010 and were loving life in the Bay Area until Michael’s company offered him the opportunity to transfer to their new office in São Paulo, Brazil.  It was an offer and an adventure that we couldn’t pass up, and we loved (almost) every minute of our 4 years there.

In 2016 we moved back to the US and back to where it all began for us, the DC area. We bought a home in Arlington and now Michael is now working as an attorney for the Department of Justice, prosecuting corruption in the FCPA unit.

In July of 2013 God blessed us with our first son, Culhane McGeever Harper, and in August of 2015 He gave us Fincher Oliver Harper. And I am thankful to be at home, full-time with them. doublenew

So here we are, on a journey to love God, love each other, and love our new home in Arlington, VA. Jeans & A T-Shirt was started with the intention of documenting our adventures so that years from now we will have a better record of this fun, crazy journey of everyday life.  🙂
